Background
About Kate Stratton
I have been a student at Brigham Young University since 2016 and have enjoyed my coursework and the experiences it has given me. I have had the opportunity to attend different classrooms and observe the teaching there. I co-taught a lesson on volume and mass, tutored a small group of students struggling with physics, and assisted in answering individual questions during classwork time. I took an ornithology course that led me to have a fascination of birds that I hope to incorporate into my lessons and classroom when appropriate. In addition to my education, BYU has also given me the opportunity to be a Resident Assistant. I have loved working with the students and helping them achieve their goals their first year of college. I also currently have the opportunity to work as a Biology Teaching Assistant. I enjoy being a resource for students and getting a behind-the-scenes perspective of how a college course is run. I hope to continue my studies, graduate, and become a science teacher.
