About Kate Suing

I am currently a junior at Miami University and studying marketing & digital marketing at the Farmer School of Business. During my time at Miami, I have acquired many skills I am excited to build on in my future professional career. Some of these skills include SQL, Python, Word, and a basic background in accounting, economics, and Excel. I have previously worked four part-time jobs. My most recent position was as a summer intern at CHS. During my time at CHS, I worked in the finance department and also spent some time with the marketing team, sitting in on meetings/interviews. Some projects I contributed to include creating and updating over customer profiles in SAP, participating in a market study conducted by Northwestern Graduate students, and attending departmental meetings. Participating in this market study gave me critical insights that taught me effective brand strategy by uncovering consumer behaviors, unmet needs, and market gaps. These findings support consumer-centric marketing strategies, allowing teams to make data-driven campaigns, optimize product launches and go-to-market strategies, and stay ahead of competitors. The research also helps align sales and promotional efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and performance across all platforms. I also worked as a server from May 2023 through August 2023. During my time at this job, I learned a lot about communication and how to work as a team member. This job required me to think on my feet and be able to solve multiple different problems throughout the day. The other part-time job I had was working as a lifeguard for two summers. This job required my full attention at all times and taught me a lot about safety and responsibility. This job also gave me a lot of social skills that I carried with me to my next job, because of all the families that would make small talk throughout my shift. Throughout my four years of high school, I also completed 100 hours of community service. Some of these include packaging food for homeless shelters, bagging books for schools, cleaning up pollution, and setting up events like fundraisers. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
