About Kate Summers

Kate is a deeply passionate professional with a passion for climate advocacy and community engagement. They have a MSc in Global Affairs from King's College London and a BA in Religion, Philosophy, and Pyschology. Equipped with a deep understanding of how global politics effect local effots, Kate has a toolbox of skills in area studies, international relations, policy analysis, anti-capitalist/post-colonial frameworks, along with a variety of essential frameworks to navigate the complex, ever-changing international political landscape. Understanding the intersection of faith and politics has led Kate to work with climate change in the relgious communities. Prior to starting graduate school, Kathryn worked in property management for 2 years. During this time, they are most proud of their time at Target. In this role, they managed several multi-million dollar projects and saved the company over 1.7 million dollars. In addition, Kathryn was quickly promoted to trainer and was often acknowledged for creating a safe store environment. Preceding a career in property management, Kathryn worked in social media management and as a nanny. In this role, they managed over 30 clients posts a week and up to 100 google business accounts. In addition, Kathryn ran several LinkedIn pages and responded to messages across platforms. In Kate's undergrad, they completed 3 internships, served as President for two separate clubs and held two on campus jobs. In addition, they were a part of the prestigious honor society, Order of Omega; along with earning a full tuition scholarship, the Disciples Leadership Fellowship. Preceding University, Kathryn completed the CEO (Creating Entrepreneurship Opportunities) program. During this program, they created a profitable personal business.
