About Kate Turner

I am passionate about building positive, people-focused workplaces where employees feel engaged, supported, and inspired to succeed. As a People and Culture Business Partner, I work closely with leaders to provide trusted advice and deliver solutions across the full spectrum of HR – including performance management, industrial relations, workforce planning, learning and development, and employee engagement. In my role, I partner with leaders and staff to strengthen workplace relationships, build morale, and drive retention. I also lead initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, HR analytics, training programs, and recognition frameworks – all aimed at fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. I have been fortunate to act in higher duties as Director, People and Culture on two occasions, broadening my strategic perspective and leadership capability. Additionally, I played a key role in developing our Strategic Plan, helping shape the organisation’s direction and aligning people strategies with business objectives. I hold a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) from the University of South Australia, complementing my practical experience with a strong academic foundation. Earlier in my career, I also managed my own business and completed an HR internship with Beyond Bank, where I designed a leadership program for aspiring leaders. With a strong focus on collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement, I thrive on influencing culture, supporting leaders, and ensuring people remain at the centre of organisational success.
