About Kate von Alt

As a passionate and dedicated researcher, I am committed to advancing the frontiers of immunotherapies so patients can live longer, happier lives. I’ve had the pleasure to learn from many talented individuals across academia and industry, and have had the opportunity to publish three peer-reviewed articles on epigenetic-based cancer biology.In my current role, I am exploring the exciting world of immuno-biology, where CAR and TCR-T therapies in combination with CRISPR editing give new promise to the understanding of cancer biology and the profound impact our work can have on patient lives.Patients with cancer and other difficult to treat diseases frequently require life-long management of symptoms, an often financially and emotionally heavy burden. Through work with CRISPR-lead therapies I seek to change that. When not in lab, you can find me exploring with my dog Waffle or baking my famous chocolate chip cookies. Let’s connect!
