About Kate Williamson

After finishing my education, I worked for a couple of years as a Veterinary Receptionist before taking on a fixed 3 year contract as a Community Sports Coach, specialising in Field Hockey & Multi Skills within Primary Schools. I joined the British Army in 2008, initially as a member of the Royal Military Police before transferring to the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery. After 3 years doing ceremonial duties & learning about horse care, I expanded my horizons by joining the Royal School of Artillery as a Communications Specialist within the Air Defence Branch. Throughout my service, I gained several qualifications, including Key Skills. I also represented both the Army & Combined Services in Field Hockey & Cricket for much of my time. When I left the Army in 2015, I qualified as a Driving Instructor (ADI) & I continue to do that today. I have recently rekindled my love for art, where I have produced several abstract/fluid art pieces for charity & a couple of businesses. I have also done a few pet portraits for friends in my spare time, from which I am developing my skills to eventually set up my own business, so that I can gain paid commissions.
