About Katelin Karlin

Experienced information professional with a strong background in relationship-building, community service, data management, and storytelling, now transitioning into fundraising and development to continue supporting mission-driven organizations. I am a mission-driven professional transitioning from academic librarianship into the non-profit development sector. My career has centered on connecting people with resources, building community partnerships, and advancing equity through education. As an academic librarian, and in earlier roles as an executive recruiter, I developed skills that directly translate to non-profit fundraising and development-Relationship management (faculty liaison work, cross-departmental collaboration, mentoring, client-facing research consulting, networking and relationship building)-Grant support & resource development (OER grant initiatives, collection development policies, donor-style reporting)-Community engagement & outreach (founding publications, leading student symposiums, coordinating public programming and lecture series)-Event planning & donor relations (organizing lecture series and cultural events with authors and community leaders)-Data-driven impact reporting (annual reports, usage statistics, and assessment tools demonstrating value to stakeholders) I bring a strong foundation in research, communication, and relationship building, and I am keen to apply these strengths to fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, grant writing, and program development in the non-profit sector.
