About Katelyn Belmore

Hello, my name is Kate! I am a third-year, first generation, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (B.S.) and Psychology-Neuroscience (B.S.) student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, I am a resident assistant, an undergraduate research assistant in the Dr. Vierling laboratory, a Biochemistry lab TA, part-time employee with the Nemasket Group to offer personalized support to individuals with disabilities, and a volunteer at my public library. I also love to read, work out, and sail! I am very passionate about my majors and my research in plant biochemistry. I learn new skills and information every day in my research lab and courses, and I hope to use my knowledge in biochemistry and neuropsychology to help individuals with disabilities. Right now, I am especially interested in plant biochemistry as they have far-reaching implications in aspects of health and sustainability. I am highly skilled in areas of organization, adaptability, analytical problem-solving, and teamwork. I am a leader with a results-oriented approach and strong attention to detail, seeking job opportunities in research after May 2025.
