About Katelyn Lawson

A proud Cree Iskwew (woman) from Cross Lake First Nation, my journey inspires and uplifts, as I forge meaningful connections and champion the growth of Indigenous communities. Current Role: Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking - Indigenous Markets with RBC, dedicated to empowering Indigenous economies, communities, and people across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. My career with RBC began in 2015 as an Indigenous Summer Student Intern while completing a Business Administration diploma majoring in Financial Services at RRC Polytech. Since then, I have taken on roles with increasing scope and responsibility in client facing roles and in leadership. My commitment to building bridges extends beyond my career - volunteerism is at the heart of my work. During my time at RRC Polytech, I served as a Student Ambassador, Business Admin Mentor, Student Association volunteer, and a two-year participant in the Intercultural Mentorship Program. At RBC, I continue to lead with purpose as the national Co-Chair of Royal Eagles, an employee resource group supporting Indigenous employees and allies. A strong advocate for inclusion and diversity, I enjoy leading initiatives that drive awareness around mental health, Indigenous identities, financial wellness, and more.
