About Katelyn Miranda

My love for psychology as a whole began during my undergraduate studies where I received my BA in Forensic Psychology. I worked at a re-entry center in DC for a semester and was responsible for my own caseload, running PREA assessments and risk assessments, and helped the women secure housing or jobs before leaving the facility. After graduating, I began my Master's program in Forensic Psychology and worked as a Youth Advocate in urban areas and became a Behavioral Assistant all while working a full-time job and taking classes. I got certified as a Behavioral Assistant and began my job as an Assistant Pre-school Teacher. My love for working with kids has grown immensely and I hope to work as a School Counselor in time. I have begun applying to Master's Programs that allow me to become certified in School Counseling to propel me further into my dream career.
