About Katelyn Polansky

Welcome all! I am a counselor with a passion for helping those in need. Whether you are on a journey of grief and healing, coping with trauma, going through hard life transitions, or just need an unbiased support person, I am here to help to the best of my ability! I graduated with a double Bachelors in both Psychology and Child Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2017. Then graduated with my Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio’s CACrEP accredited program in 2021. I have been working in many different capacities at The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas from August 2019 to present. I have gone from Student Counselor, to contract therapist, to full time Program Therapist. I have experience working through a person centered approach with individuals ranging from 5 years and up; specifically in the areas of grief and trauma. My specialties are working with families affected by suicide, as well as running support groups. I also specialize in working with young adults transitioning from high school to college.
