About Katelyn Regier

I believe that everyone has the capacity for change already within themselves – I aim to empower individuals towards their unique goals in ways that are meaningful to the life they want to live. My work and passion is centered around creating a safe space where you can feel supported and not alone in your healing journey. Everyone’s path to recovery looks different, and it is my goal to walk with you as you discover what this path looks like for you. In both community and clinical capacities, I work with individuals of various lived experiences. I have walked alongside youth and adults through diverse life challenges: addictions, depression, anxiety, disordered eating and body image, intimate partner violence, trauma, sexual assault, relationship/family conflict, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Additionally, I have completed post-graduate studies & training in numerous therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Mindfulness Based Practices. Each person is unique and may benefit from different approaches and I will work to find what fits best for you. I practice from a client-centred, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework that is rooted in attachment, systems, and intersectionality theory. My approach as a therapist is built on a foundation of safety and respect, while helping individuals recognize they are not alone when in need of support. Everything that you need to overcome life’s challenges is already within yourself – your strengths will be the foundation of our work together.
