About Katelyn Springer

My name is Katelyn Springer, and I am from Naperville, IL. I am a rising junior at Indiana University studying Marketing in the Kelley School of Business and pursuing a minor in Public Relations. When it came time to choose a major, marketing piqued my interest because I have always been interested in how companies communicate and interact with consumers. Marketing is also about problem-solving and authenticity, which are two of my core values. Recently, I added a Public Relations minor, which has provided a strong foundation in managing communication between organizations and their target audiences. I have gained insights into effective messaging, public perception management, and the role of PR in shaping a company's success. This minor has broadened my understanding of how strategic communication can influence and connect with different audiences. I have always been a hard worker and have used problem-solving throughout my years as a student in difficult classes, and when working in a job environment. I have learned through these experiences that being a leader means being authentic, motivated, and passionate about what I am doing. It also means connecting with my peers and co-workers. By being a leader in a professional setting, I learned how to best utilize my problem-solving abilities and creativity. After college, I hope to get a job in marketing where I can apply my problem-solving skills to help a company authentically connect with consumers. I am looking forward to where my future will take me and plan on staying true to my core values as I continue down my career path.
