About Katelynn Phillips

Current Academic Advisor for the College of Business, the primary advising contact and support for students enrolled in the MS Data Analytics and MS Accounting. I provide advising to students enrolled in these programs and track their academic development. In my most recent experience, I worked with the University of La Verne's College of Business as an interim Academic Advisor and Social Media/Publicity Manager. As an interim advisor working with Graduate level students in the MBA program, I met with students 1-on-1 for personalized course plans, overcome unforeseen challenges, and ultimate ensure success throughout their time in the program. For our social media platforms I focused on engagement, event publicity, and program involvement. Specifically, through providing innovative ideas to stimulate the growing LinkedIn and Instagram trends and tailored social media ads with copywriting geared towards building MBA program reach. Both of these former positions have prepared me exponentially for my full-time role as an Academic Advisor for the College of Business. I've learned how to effectively connect and engage with students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
