About Katelynn Watson

Graduating in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Systems, Katelynn switched gears from the kitchen and took on a front of house supervisory role at “America’s Resort”, The Greenbrier, located in the mountains of rural West Virginia. After being promoted to Assistant Manager/Sommelier of the Main Dining Room and having 2 years of experience at a high end resort, Katelynn was offered a Food and Beverage Management position at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, located in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Katelynn fulfilled this role through March of 2020. Her hospitality experience didn’t start after college, however. She’s worked in multiple restaurant positions since high school including bussing tables, serving, working as a line cook, dishwashing, as well executing a sous chef position. One of Katelynn’s essential attributes to being successful in the hospitality industry is being able to know the functions of all positions within a restaurant, from the kitchen to the dining room. While working at The Greenbrier, Katelynn began studying wine with fellow colleagues and continues her studies through multiple platforms, including Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), GuildSomm, and the Society of Wine Educators. Katelynn has her WSET level 2 award in Wines and Spirits and is currently studying for her level 2 certified exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Here at Talula’s Garden, Katelynn shares her passion of the industry with fellow team members and guests, while expanding her network and connections and truly enjoying what she does: sharing her passion for wine and ensuring guests receive the highest level of hospitality and the ultimate dining experience.
