Native of Ukraine, Kateryna is proficient in four languages, including Russian, Ukrainian, French, and English. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, focusing on multicultural issues, such as acculturation and stigma. Additionally, Kateryna has years of skilled experience working with adolescents and young adults, dealing with unique challenges of this developmental age. Kateryna’s primary focus as a counselor is to be an agent of healing by providing a safe and enriching environment for personal growth and healing of the client. Kateryna believes that people thrive when they are able to live authentic and integrated lives. As a generalist, Kateryna enjoys utilizing different theories and techniques, while integrating them into a holistic pursuit of client’s needs. Integration between cognitive, emotional, and relational dimensions of human functioning undergirds her understanding of mental health and serves as the foundation of her counseling philosophy.
