About Kateryna Ishchenko

I am a Ukrainian lawyer living in TheLänd (Baden-Württemberg) since 2022. For more than 15 years I have been assisting many european and ukrainian companies with their business in Ukraine. I have also gained legal and business development experience in the technology industry on site in Germany. What I enjoy most is- analysing, re-engineering and optimising business processes and commercial relationships from a legal perspective- identifying the true goals of stakeholders and reflecting them in well-structured legal documents to enhance transparent and effective cooperation with all participants. I believe that people need to clearly understand their rights and obligations in order to avoid disputes in the future- finding practical legal solutions to achieve business goals, and thinking ahead several steps based on the logic of business processes- working with people in the long term, providing legal advice that considers not only the formalities, but also the client's internal processes and challenges. When I see an opportunity for improvement, I proactively suggest it- collaborating with creative and ambitious people who strive for more. This is why I also enjoy dealing with intellectual property and marketing themes. My professional life has never been boring – I have seen and done a lot in challenging times. I have provided nearly all legal and organizational services to open a representative office of an international airline, and full support for business activities of European pharmaceutical firms in Ukraine, to name a few. The independent legal rankings "Legal500 EMEA" and "Ukrainian Law Firms: A Book for Foreign Clients" have recognized my legal work in IP, commercial, corporate and M&A, pharma and healthcare, and aviation. Moving to Germany was a personal and professional challenge, but I am glad to see that my experience is valuable here too. I would now really like to find a team of like-minded individuals with whom I can work to create value and make life better.
