About Kateshia McAfee

As Program Manager at WPS Institute’s Community Learning Lab, I design and lead dynamic out-of-school experiences that elevate student voice, expand postsecondary access, and ignite leadership through service. My work centers on building community-rooted programming in partnership with schools, nonprofits, and local leaders; creating inclusive, joyful spaces where youth and practitioners can thrive. With a decade of experience in youth development, program management, and facilitation, I specialize in launching initiatives that center equity, amplify impact, and grow teams. Whether leading cross-site events, training emerging leaders, or aligning stakeholders around shared goals, I bring creative strategy and grounded care to everything I do. Rooted in the belief that radical joy, community care, and curiosity can transform systems, I’m currently exploring ways to deepen my partnership work, especially at the intersection of service, culture, and access. Let’s connect if: • You’re working on youth or community-centered projects and want to collaborate • You know a great ice cream spot in the Northeast • You want to swap book or podcast recs
