About Katey Curtis

I am a senior executive education practitioner and programme leader with extensive experience delivering and leading teaching across Level 5 Professional Manager and Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship programmes. I am recognised as a safe pair of hands, trusted to manage flagship programmes, deliver engaging and credible learning for senior leaders and business owners, and ensure a well-managed learner experience from both a learning and user-journey perspective.I regularly lead and deliver Level 7 teaching across multiple cohorts, with responsibility for core delivery, specialist content and supporting learners through both formal and informal routes. I bring a broad, practical skillset that allows me to teach across disciplines such as finance, data driven decision making, innovation and leadership, rather than operating within a narrow specialism.I am trusted with a high level of autonomy, including course leadership for multiple concurrent Level 7 cohorts, and am relied upon by senior colleagues to keep programmes running effectively, credibly and with consistency. This includes resolving complex learner and programme issues, maintaining academic standards, and ensuring continuity across open and closed Health and Care specific cohorts.Alongside my Level 7 leadership, I have significant experience teaching at Level 5, where I delivered and contributed to curriculum content, marked assessments, and supported learners through work-based learning and coaching. Teaching at this level requires adaptability, sound judgement and the ability to respond to wide variation in learner background, sector and experience, insight that continues to strengthen my teaching practice.I have also been a core facilitator on the Help to Grow: Management programme at Huddersfield Business School since its inception, supporting 11 cohorts to date and working with nearly 200 business owners and senior decision-makers. Acting as the consistent anchor across the programme, I link content delivered by multiple subject experts and ensure a coherent, engaging experience across what could otherwise be a fragmented learner journey.Across all levels, I take a learner-centred approach and place strong value on the individual experience each participant brings. I am motivated by creating learning environments that are inclusive, practical and enjoyable, while maintaining the academic rigour and credibility expected in executive education.
