About Katharin Blodgett

I am an experienced nonprofit professional who is excited to put my new master's degree in public affairs to use! I have years of experience in direct service roles, and I am thrilled about the opportunity to serve nonprofit organizations in a different capacity. I have a heart for poverty alleviation and the city of Indianapolis, and I know that I want to continue working in this city. I have over four years of directly serving the homeless young adult community in Indianapolis and coordinating and communicating with the care teams the clients are engaged with. I am excited to put my first hand experience to use at a different level and in a different capacity since attaining my master's degree. During graduate school, I took classes in statistical analysis, the geospatial software ArcGIS, nonprofit finance, public policy, and urban planning and placemaking, among many others. This degree had me thinking critically about the challenges and assets that Indianapolis has, and putting them into the contexts of my classes. Graduate school during a global pandemic required me to be flexible, disciplined, and self-motivating. I am grateful to the O'Neill School for the great experience!
