About Katherine Anne Paul

Katherine Anne Paul is the Lead Curator and the Virginia and William M. Spencer Curator of Asian Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art in Alabama, USA. A specialist in the arts of Tibet and Southern Asia, she is a Fulbright scholar, who lectures and publishes widely and has curated numerous exhibitions in the Americas, Europe, and Asia—showcasing both contemporary and classic arts originating from Asia. She also has held positions at the Newark Museum of Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History and the Textile Museum in Washington, DC. A great traveler, Paul has performed field research in over 36 nations on five continents.
