About Katherine Bryant

I'm excited to make a big career change into genetic counseling after a long career in educational publishing. I'm passionate about helping people better understand science, and in particular the science that affects their lives. Too many people haven't had the educational opportunities I have, and I want everyone to have the knowledge and support they need to make decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities. During my publishing career, I've primarily been an editor, though I have experience as a writer and a project manager as well. I've worked for publishing companies, development houses, and as a freelancer. For ten years, I acquired and developed professional titles for math and science teachers at Heinemann. I then spent two years in a contract position developing documents related to machine learning projects for Adobe. I am currently open to small-scale freelance and project editing work. I'm an experienced puzzler, and have done professional work proofreading crossword puzzles and writing materials for trivia quizzes and the like. I also have an interest in role-playing games and have edited and proofread rulebooks for them. Specialties: Science, math, social studies, puzzles
