About Katherine Embleton

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker at Waythrough, I support individuals in developing emotional management and personal skills through evidence-based approaches such as DBT and CBT. I manage a caseload of clients, collaboratively develop personalised support plans, and facilitate navigation via the clinic phone line. My responsibilities also include conducting assessments, creating positive risk plans, and ensuring effective signposting. I have a particular interest in the field of psychosis. I recently completed an MSc in Early Intervention in Psychosis at King’s College London, where I developed advanced knowledge of both pharmacological and psychosocial treatment approaches. This academic foundation, combined with my clinical experience, has deepened my commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care. I remain especially motivated by the translational potential of psychosis research to inform accessible, preventative services.
