About Katherine Henson

Katherine Henson is a creative professional with a deep passion for the art of storytelling. As a seasoned writer and marketing strategist, she has spent the past decade helping individuals, brands, and businesses articulate their voice and connect with their audiences through intentional content, visual storytelling, and strategic messaging. Currently, Katherine serves as the Director of Marketing and Creative at Pathfinder, where she leads a full spectrum of marketing services for both internal teams and a diverse client base of small to medium-sized businesses. Her work spans social media marketing, blog and website writing, email newsletters, graphic design, brand photography, and marketing strategy. She also oversees Pathfinder’s design, video, and photography teams—ensuring every project aligns with each client’s mission and story. Katherine is also the co-owner of Stefari Coffee House and Stefari West Avenue, where she manages marketing, product development, mixology, operations, and vendor relationships for both locations. Her hands-on role in these community hubs fuels her creativity and strengthens her connection to local entrepreneurship. A graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice & Social Work and a Master of Arts in Urban Ministry. Her academic path began in communications, shifted to social services, and eventually came full circle—reigniting her love for storytelling and the written word. Her journey into the marketing field began during her undergraduate years as a social media freelancer and content writer at LinkPoint Media, where she discovered a calling that combined creativity with purpose. Over the years, she has contributed her skills to organizations such as Ravenspring Creative, Catalyst Business Services, Lead Like Jesus, Kankakee County Renewed Opportunity, I-KAN Regional Office of Education’s Pledge for Life Partnership, and the ONU Walker School of Engineering. She currently serves on the Communications Action Team for the United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties. Katherine is also a published poet. In 2016, she released her debut collection,"Wildflowers: The First Collection", a deeply personal work that speaks to her love for language and expression. She lives in Clifton, Illinois with her partner Dalton, their three children, and two dogs. When she’s not writing, photographing, or creating, you’ll find her reading, shooting 35mm film, enjoying fall adventures, or rewatching Harry Potter and episodes of The Office.
