About Katherine James

With a decade of experience in the energy and climate sector, Katherine has been an operator, an internal consultant, and now an investor. She has worked in large corporate contexts and small nonprofit contexts, and has spent much of her career working to build bridges in the name of decarbonization. Katie was most recently Senior Director of Programs at Greentown Labs, where she led Greentown Go, accelerating startup-corporate commercialization partnerships across climatetech. Prior to that, she worked in process improvement and commercial strategy at Schneider Electric, a global energy management company. Today, Katie is on the deal team at Spring Lane Capital, where she assesses sustainable distributed infrastructure projects for private equity investment.Katie is a member of the 2023-2024 cohort of the Financing and Deploying Clean Energy program at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. She has a BBA in Finance and Economics from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago ("go forth and set the world on fire").
