About Katherine Jensen

I am currently employed as the Assistant Director of Conference and Event Services at Appalachian State University. My job involves supporting operations and ensuring compliance with the Protection of Minors Policy. I am also responsible for coordinating logistics for various conferences, camps, and events on campus. Before this, I worked as an Art Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum, Watauga Art Council, and the Southern Utah Museum of Art. I enjoyed sharing my passion for art with students of all ages. I hold a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University, where I gained knowledge in business management, marketing, finance, grant writing, research, and accounting. During my degree, I planned fundraising events for local non-profits and advocated for the arts in Washington DC, and Salt Lake City. In my free time, I love creating art, taking classes, baking, and spending time with my lovely cats.
