About Katherine MacGregor

Thanks for stopping by! Learn a bit about me: I'm passionate about designing and facilitating meaningful, equitable learning experiences for adult learners, both in-person and remotely. For the past few years, I've been a #MECstaffer, applying my project management, learning design, facilitation, and talent development skills as a Manager of Learning & Development. In May 2025, I graduated from the Master of Educational Technology (MET) program at the University of British Columbia (UBC). I'm proud to have successfully balanced full-time work and part-time grad school over the past 3 years. A snapshot of how I work: I'm upbeat and energetic, and I love working on a strong, driven team. I enjoy owning projects from start to finish, getting things done, and finding order within complex systems. Deep collaboration, lots of feedback, and protected focused project time help me thrive at work. I appreciate a research-based approach to my work. For this reason, I am a lifelong learner and, also, I love a coffee chat to learn about how others approach similar work in different contexts. Surveys say. Outside of work, you'll find me: Trail & ultra running (this spring, I raced locally in Squamish and on the Sunshine Coast and, next up, I'll race the Rubble Creek Classic in September! ‍) Tending to my beloved houseplants🪴 while listening to audiobooks / podcasts (my go-to podcast recommendations: Hard Fork, You're Wrong About, and Maintenance Phase!)
