My name is Katherine Mitchell and I am excited to announce I will be graduating from Lake Superior College in May of 2022 with an Associates in Network Administration & Cybersecurity. I believe that I will have the qualifications to make me a valuable team member to an IT department.After working in healthcare since 2003, I decided to make change and go back to school. I was very excited to go back to classes on campus but with the start of the pandemic, all classes were moved to online. Learning online was a new and challenging experience, but now I am excited to move from learning everything online and in books to in person and hands on.With the jobs I have had working in a medical group home, I have worked with a wide variety of individuals and their families from varying backgrounds with both physical and mental diagnoses. My work there has taught me to think on my feet and made me proficient in learning on the go. I look forward to working in a new field and the wide range of possibilities that computers and the IT field has to offer.
