Katherine Silver, RN, BSN,(licensed in California and Oregon), Masters in Aging Services and Management (USC Davis School of Gerontology, 2015), Elder Care and Hospice advocate; former Midwife."If we don't take care of each other, who will?" I believe that by identifying individual strengths, values and collaborative activities between the generations we can prevent simple "bumps"​ in the road from becoming crises. Having assisted families in transition across the lifespan - whether welcoming a new baby or anticipating the needs of aging parents - I offer education and help finding resources for those juggling the needs of three generations. Through personal and professional experience, I understand the need to balance attention and guidance for one's children; material sustainability for working adults; housing solutions, medical attention and advocacy for aging parents. Drawing on my skills as a nurse educator, aging-family advocate and senior mental health wellness coach, I support family cohesion and wellness with the model of Co-Generational Family Care and collaborative quality of life decision making with Elders. I am currently focused on opening the Stillwaters Hospice House, which will lean on the community hospice model of care - that is - finances should never be a barrier to end of life care, provided with comfort, safety and dignity.
