About Katherine Spinelli

My career began at Urban Air Adventure Park, where I was a party host, mentor, and worked on their marketing team for their Instagram. As a mentor I trained new employees on safety protocols as well as the POS system. I was able to manage their social media accounts and gain 400+ followers by pitching, promoting, and producing pictures and short videos. I was able to learn many new skills during this job such as: customer service, problem solving skills, marketing, and time management. From there I began working at Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania as a Junior Counselor and later as a unit leader. Here I helped maintain a safe environment and helped young girls develop courage, confidence, and character. I later worked at YMCA Camp Tippecanoe, where I lead children, whose ages ranged from 6-16 in hiking, outdoor cooking and fire building, swimming, team building activities, and arts and crafts. Throughout my time working at both summer camps, I learned organization, teamwork and decision making skills. After working at a summer camp for 3 summers I got an internship with PittMoss LLC. Here I prepared sales documents for the weekly sales meeting by using data found in QuickBooks, ShipStation, and HubSpot. I also assisted with various administrative duties including preparing payroll documents, filing paperwork, entering bills into QuickBooks, printing checks, and working with fulfillment. I also got to assist with monthly inventories by counting raw materials and finished goods to complete the necessary paperwork. During my time as a student at Bowling Green State University, I have participated in many leadership development-focused activities including: Dance Marathon, Supply Chain Management Association, Women in Business Leadership, served as a fall welcome leader, and worked on the Falcon Engagement Team. Through these involvements I have gained many important skills such as, leadership, event planning, and oral and written communication. I am currently on track to graduate in August 2024 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Management and Supply Chain Management after my indirect purchasing co-op experience at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. My hope is to put these skills into effect within my career and help improve a company reach their future goals.
