About Katherine Ward

I have always had an unerring love and passion for quality food and nutrition. I have spent most of my childhood and young adult years, baking, cooking, and experimenting in a kitchen at every opportunity I can find. The structure and composition of food products has always fascinated me and is the reason I have sought higher education in nutrition and production, constantly applying what I am learning to many areas of my life. I am currently studying at Stellenbosch university, and I have a deep passion for my masters degree in a BSc Food Science and passionately lead the Food Science Association as the chairperson. I adapt well in different environments, and I am not a shy person. I can speak open and frankly before large audiences with a calm and friendly personality, that will sand me in good stead in a corporate environment. I am a hard worker and I work very efficiently. I have been exposed to different cultures and cuisines through my passion for food including exchange programs to India and overseas trips to Paris, the United Kingdom, and Dubai in the UAE. In my spare time I whenever I get the opportunity to go to the beach or go on a hike, I am the first to put my hand up. I also love reading and running.
