I have the privilege of leading a global team at General Motors, where we identify and implement strategies that drive both business growth and sustainability. My mission is to integrate sustainability into every aspect of our operations, like safety and quality, through innovation and cross-functional collaboration. In my role, I work cross-functionally to set strategic direction, develop targets, and support execution plans to fulfill our commitments and demonstrate the value of a sustainability-focused business. General Motors is deeply committed to sustainability and has a clear vision for the future, encapsulated in our “zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion” initiative. This vision aims to create a safer, more sustainable world through innovative technology and strategic action. GM’s plan is an all-electric future. This includes significant investments in electric vehicle technology, which is a key component of our strategy to reduce emissions. We emphasize transparency and accountability in our sustainability practices, regularly publishing reports that outline our progress, challenges, and future goals. Throughout my career at GM, I have worked in and with many different areas, including product development, manufacturing, public policy, legal, and supply chain. This journey has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and opportunities that businesses and their stakeholders encounter when addressing sustainability challenges. I have developed a keen ability to navigate these issues within the constraints of available resources and broader societal dynamics. I am dedicated to making GM successful and positioning it as a leader in sustainability. My goal is to leave GM a better place, ensuring that our efforts contribute to a more sustainable future.
