About Kathleen Eagers

My current employment includes seven years (2016) as a fulltime Residential Support Worker with AS & RS – Disability Services (Department of Seniors, Disability Services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) at the Redcliffe Service Centre. I am also currently employed as a Casual Detention Youth Worker at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, since 2018. Prior to 2016 my work history included six years as a custodial officer at the Woodford Correctional Centre, ten years serving fulltime in the Royal Australian Navy – to which I am still an active reserve member. When I discharged from the Navy, I was employed by Serco Sodexho, at HMAS Albatross as the Hospitality Mess Manager - Sydney Southwest, for over eight years. With a strong background within the human services field, I have always worked to ensure consistency in quality standards and service delivery. I maintain an enthusiastic approach in all that I do and achieve success by developing great working relationships with others and working to organisational standards. I am a strong planner with excellent communication, problem solving, teamwork and administration skills and am able to readily adapt to change. I consistently strive to make positive contributions to support a busy and dynamic team and ensure customer standards are maintained. I understand the value ensuring that processes and procedures are completed and followed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with organizational and contractual obligations. This is evident through all my employment both current and previous history, where I have worked in very structured and regimented environments. I always keep the company and clients vision statements in mind and work to accordingly.
