About Kathleen Smith

Kathleen Peplinski received her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University. She realized what a beautiful thing it is when a career and a passion come together throughout her 25 years providing therapy to children and their families. She was dedicated to her employment with Upstate Cerebral Palsy in the early intervention, preschool related and integrated preschool programs for 20+ of her career years and since is devoted to children and families through her employment with Thrive by 5 in similar settings. Kathleen is fortunate to spend years working with children with a variety of diagnoses including sensory processing disorders, developmental disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, neurological impairments, learning disabilities, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, and feeding issues. Kathleen is adept in multiple standardized tests as she spent several years on the evaluation team. She receives recognition for outstanding performance with children and their families additionally for her time and expertise given to high school students making career choices for college. She engages in professional development courses and trainings to remain current with new advancements in the field of Occupational Therapy and medicine. She’s a mother of three young adults who she loves spending her time with, being active,exercising and traveling. Kathleen is ecstatic to be a Co-owner of TMAS, LLC as she is always seeking new opportunities. The many changes in telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic that Kathleen faced, like many other specialists, has given her new strategies to assist others and be active in the medical industry.
