About Kathrin Schaumann

Being in contact with innovative companies that are breaking new ground and thinking outside the box inspires me every day. In my role as Sales & Certification Development Manager, Program & Partnerships at flustix – Rethink Plastics, I support international businesses in certifying their products and packaging through our independent third-party certification system. The focus: plastics sustainability, circularity, and credible green claims. From first contact to successful certification and beyond, I act as a trusted partner – helping companies align their sustainability communication with upcoming EU regulations (PPWR, SUPD, REACH, Green Claims Directive, EmpCo) and to turn sustainability into a competitive advantage. Customer orientation and a consultative, partnership-based approach are central to my work. Alongside my professional role, I am currently training as a Systemic Personal & Business Coach (ECA certified). These coaching skills strongly complement my consultative sales approach: by asking the right questions, enabling reflection, and guiding clients towards their own solutions, I aim to build even stronger and more sustainable partnerships. In the future, I also plan to apply these skills in a coaching practice to empower individuals and organisations beyond the field of certification. Ultimately, my mission is to combine sales expertise, certification know-how and systemic coaching methods – to create trust, foster clarity, and enable people and businesses to succeed in times of transformation.
