My commitment to children’s education led me to the most vulnerable and forgotten. I have been privileged to work in excellent educational establishments at leadership level but my charity work has connected me to like-minded people who have a natural empathy for others. I am supported in my work by my literary connections through workshops in schools and in my writing. I am a trustee for the charity KASIN (Kids at School in Nepal) which provides education, after school clubs and health advice for disadvantaged children. My charity work also included the medical and educational care of child amputees in India and Africa. I have fundraised for the Douglas Bader Foundation and their Koalaa Appeal which provides prosthetics for amputees with upper limb loss. I also raise money for the RAF Association, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the RAF Charitable Trust through Sean Allerton's Push 500.
