About Kathryn Dodd

Currently working as a Geo-environmental Consultant at Hydrock. Previous ground investigation experience includes working as a Ground Engineer with Structual Soils Ltd, involved in major projects across the south of England. I have completed the MSc Engineering Geology course at the University of Portsmouth, producing all assignments to a very high standard and earning a Distinction grade. My thesis is titled 'An investigation into the geotechnical properties of the Swinley Clay Member at the M25 junction 10-A3 interchange redevelopment site and the implications on the shallow foundation design for a proprosed bridge construction'. I was fortunate enough to be one of the first university students to make use of Bentley's OpenGround Cloud platform to access the vast dataset used for this research project. Further qualifications include an Upper Second Class BSc (Hons) Geology degree from the University of Portsmouth in 2013. Previous emplyoment involves working within the Oil and Gas industry as a Mud Logging Analyst for Schlumberger. During this time I worked on drilling installations within the North Sea UK sector and received extensive technical equipment and field training. I spent 18 months travelling South East Asia and Australia between Spetember 2015 and February 2017 for personal development and growth.
