About Kathryn Donovan

To be blunt: I have not an ounce of professional experience in copyediting - yet. I am a full-time student at Temple University, and I commute an hour and a half 3 out of 5 days of the work week. I am passionate about learning, and even more eager to write, if that means I can correct my own grammar. Since I have no professional experience, here are my unprofessional experiences:1. I proofread and edit both of my siblings papers, to which I receive no financial compensation.2. Grammar and spelling have always been my strong suits. Most of my elementary school comprehension tests can be submitted upon request.3. I work in retail, and I have been asked to proofread and consolidate on numerous occasions for our website postings.My skills have not been tested as much as they should, but my most 3 evident are: knowledge of a subject, adaptability, and problem-solving. I am always eager to learn, and once I start, there is no turning back. My adaptability in any situation that is thrown at me, provides to be quite useful. There has been occasions where I will not be able to see an issue through in a certain setting, where I have re-designed the plan in order for the individual to be correctly suited. Problem-solving goes hand-in-hand with adaptability, but in the aspect of always wanting to find a solution that works for the party in need. I always want the problem and the measures taken to find an answer are understood to everyone - including myself! An added bonus skill I have, is that I am proficient in Microsoft Word.
