About Kathryn Falbo-Woodson

Kathryn is a natural leader and systemic psychotherapist, incorporating a holistic approach to well-being and emotional health. She is a certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor with 20 years of behavioral and community healthcare experiences. Kathryn Falbo-Woodson, MSW, LCSW received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and a Certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor. Kathryn served on the National Association of Social Work-NC Chapter Board of Directors. Kathryn served as a member and president of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention-NC Chapter Board of Directors. She co-led fundraising efforts for the Charlotte Out of the Darkness Community Walks in 2016 and 2017, raising over and earning the chapter its first-ever Century Club Award. She owns her private practice, Forsythia Counseling, PLLC, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert for Relias. Before joining Relias, Kathryn worked as a psychotherapist in integrated care outpatient clinics (primary care and oncology) and advocated in community-based mental healthcare settings. She has trained healthcare professionals, law enforcement, clergy, and lay people in Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention, and other crisis-related interventions.
