About Kathryn Howard

As leader, partnership creator and team building specialist, I have been tasked with curating a wide variety of unique concepts for my clients nationwide, and for local nonprofits in Portland OR. Bringing content to life in the digital and tangible worlds to deliver measurable results to increase visibility, raise revenue, and foster engagement is my passion. My strengths include campaign development, producing custom interactive elements, copy writing, sourcing and coordinating teams large and small, talent booking, navigating vendor contracts and legal issues, creative fundraising, creating pop up retail and gallery spaces, and permitting efficiently and effectively for site specific, online, and nationally roaming, marketing and event concepts delivered to the public. Currently, I am working with Portland Fruit Tree Project to help the small but mighty 15 year strong beloved nonprofit to keep Portland "community focused and fruitful", wearing all the hats it takes to do that within a mid-sized Nonprofit, from social media to grant writing to fundraising to public events. From 2017 to 2021, I worked with the World Champion Rose City Rollers in PDX to improve (and create new) event structure/flow and content, and helped RCR rise to each unique challenge dealing with the City of Portland, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, the ever changing insurance and safety requirements of the sport, and the Covid Pandemic, during which I opened a drive in movie and comedy experience and coordinated of distanced public skating opportunities. I am a self-motivated leader with a proven track record across diverse environments; from trade show floors to custom built gallery and retail spaces, to "on the fly" program creation and execution, I have managed up to 25 teams and programs across the country simultaneously, juggling their various timelines and high value budgets. As a volunteer and as a nonprofit employee in Portland, I have also fielded and knocked a number of fundraisers out of the park, bringing my creative thinking to tried and true Gala events.
