Kathryn Murphy is a graduate of Montana State University where she earned a degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design as well as a minor in Photography. She uses a multidisciplinary approach to explore the connection between the heart, mind and the natural environment. I use an investigative approach to further develop and understand this connection. This sense of mystery and anticipation of something greater taking place than what I can imagine is why I am an artist. The interaction of an idea, the experience and mystery all combine to produce, on the best of occasions, a sort of magic that I am completely in love with. This 'magic' leads to further investigation through various multidisciplinary processes that are combined to create fine art photographic series. I create in order to understand this powerful connection between the heart and the mind.
