Background
About Kathryn Pech
I am a Secondary Education Teacher, currently based in Whyalla, South Australia, working for Catholic Education South Australia (CESA). My qualifications include a combined double-degree; a Bachelor of Education (Middle and Secondary Schooling)/Bachelor of Arts, completed at Flinders University of South Australia. Through these degrees I am qualified to teach English to Year 12, and Health Education, and Visual Art to Year 10 (English major, Health Ed. and Visual Art minors), and during my teaching career thus far, have also expanded my skill set to include Clothing and Textiles (Design and Technology), Pastoral Care, and Religion Studies. My passions include: health promotion/nutrition, animal welfare, various arts, and equity in education. I consider myself to be a self-motivated and highly organised individual, with a strong sense of equality, and interest in social justice. Below you can access my Professional Portfolio and Philosophy Statement, which demonstrates my understanding and application of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Standards.
