About Kathy Bee

As the Senior Grants Coordinator, I oversee the operation of the Grants Department for a not-for-profit organization with a $146 million budget. I have extensive experience managing Foundation, State, Federal, and research grants, which includes writing applications and proposals, preparing budgets, ensuring compliance with all pre- and post-grant requirements, and completing and submitting follow-up reports in a timely manner. My responsibilities also involve tracking expenditures and submitting vouchers for payment, among other related activities. I maintain an up-to-date library of legal documentation, grant narratives, and organizational statistics frequently required for grant proposals. Additionally, I ensure that all state and federal grant portals, contract management systems, and other data collection applications are kept current. In my role, I act as the primary liaison with grantors, program staff, and senior management regarding internal and external needs, and then research grant opportunities to match those needs. I work closely with our Foundation, Finance, and Marketing departments to ensure a smooth and seamless fundraising operation for the entire organization.
