I am an experienced children, youth, and family worker with strong intuition, integrity, authenticity, passion, and a curiosity to learn. I am dedicated to supporting child and youth developmental and educational needs, and to creating safe, brave, and welcoming spaces that help foster belonging. My philosophy of teaching is rooted in social justice, community, and self-reflection. I humbly acknowledge that I live, learn, play, and work on the unceded, ancestral, traditional, and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As a second-generation settler on these territories, I am grateful, everyday, for the opportunity to be on this beautiful land. I recognize that I have a role in the ongoing process of decolonization in the classroom and in the community, and am on a journey to better understand and act upon this role.
