About Kathy Hamlin

Kathy Hamlin is a Director and Consultant with the Ascensus ERISA Compliance Department. In her position, Ms. Hamlin assists clients with technical compliance questions through Ascensus' 800 Consulting Service, instructs internal training, drafts articles for Ascensus-sponsored publications, prepares plan document reviews, and plays an active role with technical reviews and updates to forms and plan documents. Her expertise includes employer-sponsored retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, SEP plans, SIMPLE IRA and 401(k) plans, as well as Traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, Coverdell education savings accounts, and health savings accounts. Ms. Hamlin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She has received the designations of Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) from the America Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). She also holds a Certified IRA Professional (CIP) designation from the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU).
