Most of my adult life I spent my time loving and taking care for my children. My husband and I birthed seven children and adopted eleven children from the foster system. As Christians this was our mission field. There are thousands of children that have been taken from their families and placed in foster care who are waiting to go home. The home they knew has fallen apart and many times they are moved from home to home confused why they can't go home. Adopting provides a safe place children can call home while they put the pieces back together again. Most of our children are married now and others are living independently. The past two years I've been spending most of my time working on a parenting course called,"Parenting with the Whole-Brain." It is based on the latest neuroscience research helping parents understand their child's developing mind. They will see the mind in ways that will allow them to change the structure of the brain, improve relationships with others and even with themselves. This course will teach skills to be used in a parent's everyday experiences with their family and to know their child more deeply, respond more effectively to difficult situations, and intentionally build a foundation for a lifetime of love and happiness. As a result, not only will your children thrive, both now but into adulthood. Included with this course is a children's series called Touched by Aye Dragon Tail. These books are designed to be read to the child helping them understand the same basic principles taught in the parenting course but at a child's level.
