Background

About Kathy Russick

I am currently working in commercial real estate appraisal on assignments mainly in California but occasionally in other states in the southwest. I am in the process of getting a commercial real estate appraiser license, and have progressed through two-thirds of the course work required. I switched careers to commercial real estate appraisal two years ago. I was attracted to commercial real estate appraisal because it requires technical skills and critical thinking and requires some travel but on a limited basis. My previous experience has been in engineering and project management. I have worked both as an environmental/civil engineer on water projects in California and on energy efficiency retro-commissioning projects for the Veterans Administration. My strengths are in project management, writing and communication. I have managed a variety of very complicated projects for state and federal agencies, coordinating multiple sites and subcontractors typically culminating in written reports to a government agency.
