Experience in nursing process, documentation, electronic health record, staffing, and primary resource for Staff RNs and CNAs on the unit. Member of sepsis initiative, Patient Satisfaction committee, JCAHO hospital compliance committee, Hyperglycemic Control initiative, and Surgical partnership council. Implement training and new protocols to the unit including sepsis, immunizatjons, catheter uti prevention and anticoagulation policy and procedures. Excellent critical thinking and communication skills with peers, physicians, ancillary departments, patients, and families. Participated in the development of patient communication white boards and patient medication side effects booklet. Oversee the nursing process care for post operative patients and step down Trauma ICU patients.
