I am reminded of the collaboration and genius that exists within my community through the following bell hooks quote: “Our willingness to make sacrifices reflects our awareness of interdependency.” My role as a Recruitment and Retention manager and Vice-Chair of Chelsea School committee enables me to develop efficient anti-racist and equitable K-12 hiring processes that mitigate implicit bias, problem solve for school-based staff vacancies, ask critical questions to ensure that our district fills the gaps that are developed by educational inequities, and seek feedback from community stakeholders such as families, teachers, principals and school district leaders. I am a bold thought leader who pushes leaders in the area of talent strategy. When I am not on LinkedIn, I love to write poetry, practice natural hair-care routines, read and explore the outdoors.
