About Katie Ash
Hey, I'm Katie Ash, a freelance designer, artist and studio owner. In the freelance world, I’ve worked with a variety of clients, from international shoe brand Clarks, to leading veterinary care provider Medivet – doing everything from social content, motion graphics, print design and web design. In 2025, I launched my own design studio, Studio Statik, which focuses on my experience in healthcare design and accessibility to create compliant but creative healthcare design. I have a Master's in Graphic Design, where I explored user-centred design and accessibility, as well as expressive grunge style design and typography. My self-initiated design projects are experimental with hand-drawn type and mark making, drawing inspiration from designers Chis Ashworth and David Carson. I also have a Bachelor's in Fine Art where I practiced oil portraiture, exploring body language and psychoanalysis.
